So wait now. The Ryan budget takes money out of the mouths of poor people if you would believe Rep. Rangel (D-NY) and his writings, statements, etc. This is nothing but pure hypocrisy from someone who was found guilty of not less than 11 ethics violations in late 2010 including failing to report rental income, soliciting charitable donations from people with business before Congress, and, oh yeah, he had to resign as the chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means committee after accepting gifts in violation of house rules. Does this man have any room to admonish republicans for their disregard for others? Where would his unpaid tax dollars have been made useful. I guess he only sympathizes with the 99% as a 1% guy himself.
But really shouldn’t any budget be reducing spending across the board in this economy at this time. You don’t cut the defense budget and bolster the welfare budget, that doesn’t do anything but move money from one place to another. The key to a successful budget is not to cut all infrastructure spending and instead make sure that you give out millions of dollars in food stamps, welfare, free medical care, reduced cost this, and any other social program you can name. No, you want to save money, you want to reduce the deficit? Here is that plan. Stop giving money to the sponges of society. There are people who loaf professionally and the government, in their sense of “social justice” pays them to do so. No, cut all these social programs to the quick. Then you can cut the funding of the gargantuan bureaucracies put in place to help manage them. Once you have done away with those two drains on all our tax payer dollars you have a big start on fixing the spending problem here in the United States. After that you should bail on the 99 weeks of unemployment benefits that some get after losing their jobs.
I don’t say this because I hate the poor or have no sympathy. I say this because it is true. I have never seen someone on federal assistance who did not try to get more assistance out of the deal. Now I understand the need for a one or two times receipt of food stamps, or unemployment benefits for 6 weeks while you find work, but food stamps from the time the kid is born until he is eighteen or reset the timing with another kid and taking unemployment checks for 99 weeks because you can’t find a job. Bull, you stopped looking for a job at 4 weeks when you realized you could get paid for two years for sending off resumes and blowing off interviews. This isn’t the American way, this isn’t freedom, this ultimately is slavery to a government, and there are those like Rep. Rangel who think this is perfectly fine behavior.
