We just celebrated 40 years of free access to abortions because of the landmark Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade, not that it comes as a big surprise. I mean it was all over the news being celebrated and lauded by the media. In fact, Touré went on the record to say he and his girlfriend had an abortion to make their lives easier at the time, they wouldn’t be able to raise the child correctly so they took care of the problem. Understandable, I guess in a warped and twisted way of thinking. But, I’m not here to talk about his abortion, I was going to talk about them all, and yet I am not going to condemn abortion. Interesting you say. No I am going to point something out that most people overlook.
I suppose it won’t surprise you that Planned Parenthood is one of the largest abortion providers in the United States. The rate of abortions in America has stayed about the same for the last ten years, averaging just over 1.2 million each year and PPFA provides approximately one-quarter of all abortions performed in the United States. This isn’t even close to their dirty little secret, these are just hard numbers. No, their secret goes further back, to their founding.
In 1916, a woman named Margret Sanger would open the first abortion clinic in the United States, she would go to jail for this act. Strange that she would, seeing as how the Wilson administration was in office and was a great proponent of Eugenics. See, Margret was a big Eugenics person as well; eugenics being understood as the passing of human hereditary traits through selective breeding and reduced reproduction of those with less desirable traits. She didn’t hide this fact, she wrote openly about it. She would go on to form the American Birth Control League in 1921 and that organization would go on to become the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. I’ve pared out a bunch of stuff, but it boils down to the fact that Sanger was the creator of all this we have today. She spearheaded the movement. You have Margret in her own words why she opened her abortion clinics, to take care of, “human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning… human beings who never should have been born.”
Ouch. That is kind of harsh don’t you think. But she has more to say on the whole process of selective abortion in the United States. In fact, she specifically said, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” Instead it should be known that the purpose of all birth control was “to create a race of thoroughbreds.” I guess what she wanted to say was superior white race with no mental defects, immigrants, ect. Her passions remind me of the Daniel Quinn book After Dachau, in which a full millennium after the extermination of the jews in Germany the world had rid itself of all non-whites it celebrated this fact as the winning of a great battle rather than the extinguishing of a race of people. The world was homogenous. History was reported by the victors, and being of all one race they were curiously non caring about the things of the past, who might have done what, how they wanted it done. It holds a certain parallel to the PPFA movement and Sanger’s ideas as they are often pushed to the back and forgotten while the PPFA is lauded as a wonderful organization for women.
That of course doesn’t mean that PPFA is an organization bound and determined to help bring about the homogenization of America through selective abortion and other contraceptive programs though. I suppose it is only a coincidence that most of Sanger’s clinics are in black neighborhoods, and by most I mean 78% of all PPFA clinics. According to the 2012 census blacks make up just 13.1% of the 310 plus million people in the United States, but according to the CDC black abortions account for over 36% of all abortions. That is a lot of “help” to the black community.
Maybe we will never learn, maybe we just don’t care, maybe no one wants to think about the fact that the founder of the PPFA believed that “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.” Maybe they just don’t know because some don’t want that little factoid out there as it is just a bit distasteful. But here I am to help spread the word. Think about it won’t you?
