I know, your immediate response to the title was, “he has no idea what he is talking about, there is no persecution of Christians in America. Blah Blah Blah…” or something to that effect. Here’s the thing, I never said it was happening in America. The truth of the matter is that in just about every place that isn’t the Americas or English-speaking Christians are on the run, especially in the muslim world. But no one is paying attention to it. Not a single news media has even run a blurb on this phenomenon.
The Chairman of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently was quoted as saying, “The flight of Christians out of the region [middle east] is unprecedented and could have the end result of the disappearance of Christians altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt.” Iraq’s Christian population has more than halved itself since the fall of the largely secular Saddam Hussein, from one million to four hundred thousand.
This is the direct result of the islamic campaign against Christians including cases of crucifixion and beheadings. The same fate awaited the Coptic Christians, an ancient sect of Christians, in Egypt once Hosni Mubarak was deposed with the tacit approval of our administration. The same fate probably awaits Christians in Syria one Assad is done.
Know this; many muslim majority countries were, and still are, ruled by iron fisted dictators. But while these people may be dictators who rule through fear and the occasional bout of violence, they are often supported, at least initially by the western world, and keep down the muslim extremists. But you think I’m wrong. Hmm, let’s see…there was the Shah in Iran, backed by western interests who once deposed was replaced by a theocracy. Mubarak was deposed and replaced by the muslim brotherhood; Saddam was replaced by basically a puppet who did nothing to stop any violence along religious lines; Afghanistan was already a theocracy which is currently being headed by a puppet willing to bite the hand that feeds him. Don’t expect that to last long after we’ve gone, and the taliban or some other extremists will be right back in charge of that country.
There are literally hundreds of examples of Christian persecution, murder, destruction of churches, and the theft of their property in the middle east, Africa, and throughout Europe, but the media ignores it. Instead we are treated to stories on our own islamophobia in the United States when someone in a hijab gets called a rag head in the middle of redneck country or how hard it is to be force to listen to a thirty-second prayer at an event.
Oh dear me. Harsh words. However will we defend ourselves from the monsters who seek to destroy these people with outdated insults. Oh the humanity!!! Not a religious prayer; they might as well be engaging in forced conversion during those thirty seconds. Meanwhile the media is at best ignoring and at worse assisting through their own unwillingness to report the actual news according to their new PC standards the Christian displacement and genocide happening in the wider world.
Shame on the media for making mountains out of mole hills and using those to disguise piles of bones from the slain.
