You would think that news of this magnitude would get bigger play in the media, but I guess since it doesn’t conform to the liberal agenda or some fluff piece that it can easily be ignored, pushed under the rug and forgotten, no one is going to cover it. Not here folks. I am going to lay this one out because it scares the hell out of me. It scares me for several reasons. One, it might point to a level of government interpretation of values that have nothing to do with violence and make them borderline criminal. Two, it speaks of a government willing to run a witch hunt in their own organizations to sterilize themselves of these nasty extremists, filling the void with more pliable people, people willing to toe the party line. Finally, the scariest thing is that this looks like it is going to take place in the United States military of all places. That is the problem.
The military is a place of conformity; they do as they’re told, they follow orders, they lead very regimented work lives, they are also fairly conservative. The unstated goal of this training seems to be to identify and mark the real conservatives in the military, but the question is why?
In America, extremists, no matter what they ascribe to, are always violent and people or groups in America that are violent are usually targeted for surveillance, stings, arrests, incarceration, etc. We don’t tolerate terror organizations in America and most extremists have been labeled that, but what does it take to be considered extremist. Apparently it takes nothing more that being a conservative.
Extremists usually get purged from a society. Just what is it the government wants to do by labeling conservatives as extremist, are non-muslim religious persons next to be labeled, are they going to run a loyalty test meeting their goals on the members? You might want to ask your Congressperson to look into this before it is too late. Think I’m being dramatic? Think again.
On page 36 of the document it says: “Individuals who hold extremist views are in conflict with the standards expected of all military members, and participation in extremism is inconsistent with the duties of military service.”
But on page 42 they set the stage with some very interesting correlations. “In U.S. history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements. The colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule and the Confederate states who sought to secede from the Northern states are just two examples.” really, they couldn’t use Hassan as an example, or the Aryan Nation?
And then on page 45 under recruiting it says “Nowadays, instead of dressing in sheets or publicly espousing hate messages, many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.”
So unconsciously they want their trainers to think, conservative = sheets like the klan and hate messages, so everything they say falls under extremism. Basically the document makes a case that anyone who mentions anything from a Constitutional or founders point of view is an extremist who has no place in the military. Yet, the document makes no mention of any radicalized form of Islam, despite the obvious Hassan connection, nor does it mention any other radical Islam point of view than the case of the Sudan. It looks like a witch hunt may be on. Remember these words.
First they came for the communists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.
Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.
