We are all but ready to start what could be World War III because there are 1500 dead Syrians who might have been killed by weapons of mass destruction that may have been used by the Assad Regime. The country is on the other side of the world, their civil war has nothing to do with us, we have no vested interest in it, and both sides hate us, yet we want to nose on into that thing and make everything all right. But what about the problems, real problems in our own backyard?
A study from New Mexico State University sets the murder death toll in Mexico between 2006-2012 at over 110,000. All of these murders are related to the drug war and Mexican cartels. The city of Juarez accounts for 10% of all of Mexico’s murder victims since 2007. That city is practically in America, located on the border on the other side of El Paso, TX. So, more than 11,000 people killed there, mostly poor, innocent people from the reports, and it is not our problem either?
Mexico may not be America, but that crap, the cartels, the murders, the intimidation is drifting north. We can’t allow that kind of violence, fear, and intimidation to gain a foothold in our country.
You want to see throngs of cheering people when our military shows up. Send them to Mexico to kill all the cartels. It won’t be too hard…sure they have automatic weapons and know the land. We will have tanks, humvees, jets, and most importantly people who are willing to lead us to the cartel’s hiding places.
Never mind that several followers of radical islam are trying to convert those living in central and South America to convert and come up through America’s soft underbelly. Never mind that our border security is about as sound as a colander. Never mind that our government is too busy arguing about sequestration, Obamacare, and Syria.
We have a problem in our back yard that if we don’t do something about, could really hurt the country. And these people are worried about Syria.
