Senator Harry Reid has once again demonstrated his complete lack of knowledge of the government, how it works, his responsibilities, the people he serves, etc. through his own ignorance. In response to a reporter’s question about passing funding for the NIH during the shutdown, instead of answering it, he responded with a question of his own: “What right did they [the House] have to pick and choose what part of governments [sic] can be funded?” Really, that was his question, what gives the House the right to pick and choose funding. First of all, great deflection, you don’t answer the reporter’s question, instead you try to turn it into being about evil republicans picking and choosing. Second of all, you are a moron who doesn’t even know his own Constitution. Article 1, Section 9, specifically says “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.”
And what does Article 1 cover, oh that is right, it covers the duties of CONGRESS. I guess the founding fathers in all their wisdom gave Congress the right to pick and choose funding. In your face you dumbass, don’t even understand Constitutional basics and have been serving in the Senate for 26 years. I guess you spent most of that time shifting blame and electioneering instead of leading your party, working on important legislation, and passing budgets. You are a hack, but then again we already know that. After all you don’t serve the people of Nevada, you said so yourself.
This sums up most of the problems with democrats and some republicans in six seconds. They believe they are elected to serve the government and govern the people. Their election is the last step. When in all reality, their election should be the first step with their constituents. Then they go to Washington and serve the people and limit the government to keep it from infringing upon the rights of their citizens. But not Harry, no, he is so much better than that…what a joke. Joke of a Senator, joke of a man. I hope you read this you gutless piece of crap, able to engage in character assassination and the pointing of fingers, but unable to understand the basic concepts of our government spelled out for you on paper.
You make me sick.
