So you watched a game most people didn’t give a crap about last night and wondered just what the hell was Pete Carroll thinking when he decided to pass on second and goal from the one. I personally would have rushed a back up the middle, which worked for them a bunch of times during the season. But other than that, and the fact that the Patriots quite probably cheated to get to the game, the entirety of the Superb owl fell flat…and that included the lefty, liberal commercials that littered the landscape in between plays.
First you had Sarah Silverman and Chelsea Handler one upping each other with a T-mobile wi-fi phone commercials that would have been nothing much except for the ever acerbic Silverman adding to the underground delivery room scene the line, “Sorry it’s a boy.” Man hating for the win, I guess male bashing sells phone plans, right.
Then you have nationwide who managed to kill a little kid and then tell us that we are responsible every time a small tyke dies. Do you really think that parents of children that die in accidents don’t blame themselves enough? At the same time we as parents try to do all we can to protect our young and even not so young children…Don’t tell me if I don’t follow your plan or buy your insurance I am going to kill my kid, effing nanny staters.
Following that we had the #likeagirl commercial, that of course tells us we shouldn’t use it as an insult. Nevermind the fact that they bait people or paid actors to act unmasculine to demonstrate the “likeagirl stereotype that we all used as children. Guess what, it is a stereotype, because while a girl is supposed to run or throw or etc like a girl, a boy isn’t supposed to. You won’t make me feel bad for warning someone that they are headed down the wrong path and need to stop doing things like a girl or they need to man up. I don’t care.
Lets not forget the whore Kim Karda—what-ever-the-hell, famous for a sex tape and some lewd photos of herself. Do I really need a sexual and media whore to tell me to watch her do useless shit on the internet…I’d rather watch the Nationwide kid get killed again.
I know I am leaving out Toyota with their draft dodging voice over from Cassius, call me Mohammed, Clay; Fiat’s boner car commercial with the “viagra,” glad I got to explain that one to my kids you assholes, and Coke’s add about stopping bullies through drinking coke, McDonald’s pay with love, and I’m sure there were others.
I am tired of being attacked from the left through cheap ass advertising that tells me I should be a genderless, ashamed to be a man, never making a stereotypical comment, who watches whores on the internet, takes ED pills, and loves everyone all the time.
I’d like to sic Walter White or Danny Trejo on their collective asses from the best ads of the night that were really, really just good commercials.
