Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave

The fourth of July, could any day in America be more patriotic or free? Could any day symbolize America better than the holiday that started in spirit in 1776. Nope.  The Declaration of Independence which begins:

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Remember, despite some of the things going on, the surveillance of citizens, the collection of metadata, the disconnect with our “representation” this is America and if we want to we can stand up and demand it be fixed. We can vote out our bad ones and get ones who will follow our will into office.  Celebrate, relax, enjoy today’s freedom and give thought. Tomorrow write your representation, city, state, federal, something and demand change.

Your freedoms are eroding, listen to the things they say and the actions they take.  It really is up to you, the people.
