What are you going to do with eleven million plus illegal immigrants once you grant them amnesty, I’m sorry I mean comprehensive immigration reform, under the immigration bill that some in Congress will continue to force down the throats of the American people? Doesn’t matter what you call it, it is rewarding a crime with American citizenship Let me put it this way, it is the same as if we gave the remaining Tsarnaev brother a green card, except we did it eleven million times. Oh, you don’t like that do you? Well, imagine how the hard working citizens of this country feel about handing out Constitutional status to every person who breaks the law “to seek a better life.” It is still a law. That is only the first reason we shouldn’t be giving out citizenship like candy out of the proverbial pinata.
Here is the thing, unemployment in this country has been at 7.5% or higher for the last five years, since the current Administration took office. During that time the unemployment numbers have risen to almost 12% then fallen back down to 7.5% but only due to the fact that tens of millions of Americans have dropped out of the work force. That’s right there are now an estimated 89.6 million Americans who are not participating in the work force. These people don’t even represent the amount of Americans who are counted in the U6, tracking the underemployed, which makes unemployment closer to 13.9%. By the way that 7.5% represents 11.7 million people, making your 13.9% almost 18 million individuals who either can’t find work or can’t find work that pays enough to live on.
Where are these people going to get jobs? They can’t take the migrant worker jobs that pay practically nothing that fruit and vegetable growers across the country have been giving out for years and years to illegals for peanuts. No, citizens don’t take jobs like that because of this little thing called the minimum wage and labor laws. I’m not saying that what these people do and how they conduct their business is legitimate or even moral, but it exists none the less. But now 11 million additional people without jobs for the most part, competing for work with another 12 million out of work and 6 million looking for better work. Woo, that seems like a recipe for an increased recession if I’ve ever seen it. But wait, aren’t these people going to have to pay a fine, and not have access to social programs offered by the federal government and state governments.
The Libtards and Conservaholes in Washington want to grant Amnesty to 11 million people right off the bat and give them citizenship like it was the prize at the bottom of a cracker jack box they stole from the store. Citizenship isn’t like that, this is America. You can’t tell people you can come here and be a citizen and then tell them in the same breath that due to their unique circumstances (i.e. they entered the country illegally, committing a crime) that they are not eligible for food stamps, welfare, and all the other social programs that Americans are entitled to. How long do you think that would stand up in a court of law.
Judge: “So you’re and American and they are telling you that you can’t have access to social programs.”
plaintiff: “Yes your honor, because I was given citizenship as a gift and have to pay back society.”
Judge: “That means you are a second class citizen then does it not because you’re not entitled to full citizenship rights.”
plaintiff: “Indeed.”
Judge: “That is a violation of Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. I find for the 11 million plaintiffs; welfare and food stamps for all.”
That’s about how that case would go, five minutes after the ink was dry on the paper. You can’t pass a bill that violates the spirit and intent of the Constitution and then have it stand up in a court of law. It just won’t do. All the mighty foreskins in Congress have to do is add a severability clause between the granting of the citizenship and the withholding of any of the rights and you have a case of those attempting to pass the bill get to have their cake and eat it too. They create 11 million low-income voters who can receive public benefits. I’m sure this is not a rock the vote scheme at all. They lament that they should have read the law closer and this never would have happened, but here it is and now we have to live with it. Oh and we need to get ready for the next wave of automatic citizens we will have to grant status to in the next twenty years.
We did this back in 1986 and it was supposed to solve the problem of illegal immigrants, amnesty, welfare, and all the like when we granted automatic citizenship to then 11 million illegals in our midst. Now all these years later it has done nothing and we are looking to repeat history.
It was Edmund Burke who said, “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.” But I say in this instance, “Those who have seen mistakes in history favor them are bound to recreate those mistakes.” Because that is just what our Gang of 8 and their sycophants are attempting.
A true immigration reformation would involve enforcing the current law and deporting those who flaunt their breaking of it in our faces. Then we would increase border security to the point that illegals couldn’t get it. Once that was complete we might start taking applications for citizenship again. We are America, land of the Free and Home of the Brave, not the world’s soup kitchen.
