Yes, it is true, the penalties, erp, I mean taxes the IRS is going to inflict upon all self-employed and employer taxes for health insurance, affordable health care, Obamacare, totalitarian control program, or whatever you want to call it are going away…in name at least. Instead they will be replaced by Shared Responsibility payments. I kid you not. These requirements are found under IRC Section 6055, which apply to insurers and self-insuring employers, and IRC Section 6056, which apply to employers with at least 50 full-time employees and Employer shared responsibility payments under IRC Section 4980H.
Of course these laws have all been put on hold by the powers that be for a whole year until 2015 because it would be too hard to implement the law now, what with the elections around the corner and all that. These taxes, I mean shared responsibility payments, are going to screw over a lot of people and businesses and we can’t have that out there in the open and in practice before the next election cycle has concluded, right? But what about that name.
Shared responsibility payments, as if someone is responsible for your insurance and you are responsible for someone else’s. What kind of Kumbaya commune bullshit is that? Since when in America are you not responsible for yourself, your well-being, and that of your family? I guess we weren’t being good little socialists so they have to force it on us slowly, one law at a time until we understand that they know just what is best for us.
Everyone in America can benefit from hard work, but it is only in the last fifty years or so that hard work doesn’t have to be done by you. You can feel free to lay back, go on welfare, move in with friends or family, and sponge off the government who will now under the guise of shared responsibility give you the life you would have had if you were a sucker enough to get a full-time job. Kudos America, land of the dead beat brother-in-law, the shiftless sister with six kids by five daddies, and the cradle to grave nanny system. We can do it, we can share the responsibility.
